Research

microscopeBrandeis University is a liberal arts college with a strong research focus. The university boasts an internationally recognized faculty, including two recipients of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, members of the US National Academy of Sciences, several Howard Hughes Investigators, and a MacArthur Genius Grant recipient.

A benefit of a science education at Brandeis is the opportunity to learn from the outstanding faculty, graduate students and postdocs at Brandeis. Research can begin at any point during an undergraduate’s academic career, often culminating with the publication of a Senior Honors Thesis.

An undergraduate’s research can result in being included as an author on a peer-reviewed article. Since 2003, there have been approximately 400 publications from Brandeis Division of Science faculty that have included one or more undergraduate authors.
