Molecular & Cell Biology – Graduate

Ph.D. Program

The Molecular and Cell Biology program is designed to provide each Ph.D. candidate with the theoretical foundations and research experience necessary to become a successful investigator in biological research.

This is achieved through 1) a flexible curriculum tailored for each students needs; 2) laboratory rotations that acquaints each student with research techniques and permits exploration of possible research areas; and 3) a proseminar for first year students and ongoing journal clubs.

There is frequent interaction between students and faculty with the Ph.D. candidates research being carried out under the personal direction of a faculty member.

Master’s Program

The Master’s program in Molecular and Cell Biology is designed to guide students toward realized their potential as scientists and assist them in developing careers in research, teaching or other employment in a scientific setting.
